Donn and Phyllis Irwin purchased Dean River Resort in June of 1979. After 20 years in business with the tourism trade evolving they decided to change the name to The Dean on Nimpo to reflect the location.
Along with the name change came plans to renovate.
They have continually upgraded and improved the
facilities with the most elaborate venture occurring in the last two years.
