Lake in winter is great for cross country skiing both
on the lake and in the surrounding woodland areas. The
Rainbow Mountains nearby offer groomed trails for both
cross country skiers, and snowmobilers. Conditions in
the Rainbows are often excellent for snowboarding as
well.

The
Coastal Mountains are just to the West, and are easily
accessible for snowmobiling.
If you're a new to intermediate rider, you'll find a
network of trails with beautiful scenery and lots of
opportunity for wildlife photography.
Beautiful sweeping
snow bowls and panoramic scenery are the reward for
both novice and extreme snowmobile riders.

Toward the end of February, Nimpo Lake and
Anahim Lake host an A Event Snow Cross Race offering $5000+
in prizes to the competitors. Come see some really exciting
action and
marvelous riders do their stuff!

The Coastal Mountains soar above Nimpo Lake
and are very accessible to sledding enthusiasts.
There are miles of rolling alpine and lots of
